Review of Das xBoot Slot
Although Das xBoot was released in 2021, it gained popularity only recently. Streamers promoting casinos made it popular. The second bonus game intrigued viewers, and the phrase “launch the torpedo” quickly became a meme. The underwater military submarine setting appeals to many.
The developers implemented extreme volatility. Large wins are possible during bonus and regular spins. However, combos can take a long time to form, and the bonus may offer little.
The max win is substantial at 55200x. The RTP can be either 94.04% or 96.03%.
Features
The slot features an asymmetric grid of six reels. The first and sixth reels have two symbols each, the second and fifth have three, and the middle two reels have four symbols each.
Winning combinations are determined in numerous ways. Initially, there are 576 ways, but special symbols can increase this up to 75,712. Players win if at least three identical symbols align consecutively from the left reel.
Symbols in the game include:
- Low-paying symbols are card symbols: 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace.
- Medium-paying symbols depict submarine crew members: cook, radio operator, and mechanic.
- High-paying symbols are the gunner and admiral.
Bonus Game and Special Symbols
Das xBoot contains several special symbols:
- xNudge Wild – appears on reels 3 and 4, and is expanded.
- xWays – appears on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5, revealing 2–3 random symbols.
- xBomb – explodes all non-winning symbols on the field, increases the current spin’s multiplier by one, and leaves a Wild symbol in place.
- Bonus Symbol – shown as a locator, triggers the bonus game.
- +2 – special symbol during bonuses, grants two extra free spins.
The xNudge Wild comes with a feature for big wins. If it lands but doesn’t fully occupy the reel, it nudges up or down until it fills it completely. Each nudge increases its multiplier by one.
There are two types of bonus games. The first is Silent Hunter Spins, triggered by three Bonus Symbols. It grants eight free spins. The grid is similar to the main game, but the third reel has eight symbols. A special Target symbol can appear there.
When the Target lands and a matching combo exists, a periscope lens appears, showing enemy ships. The submarine fires a shot. If it hits, the Target changes to Wild, and symbols above it turn Wild. The Target then moves down, filling the reel. The total win multiplier increases by one with each move.
This continues until the entire reel fills with Wilds, multiplying all wins by the multiplier. If the sub misses, the Target becomes Wild without filling the reel.
The second bonus is Wolf Pack Spins, triggered by four Bonus Symbols. It gives eight free spins. Below reels 2 to 5 is a torpedo split into four parts.
During free spins, torpedo symbols can land on reels 2-5. They drop down to fill the torpedo parts. Each new symbol increases that part’s value by one.
Collecting at least one torpedo symbol in all four parts launches the torpedo. The multiplier increases by one during the launch animation.
xWays symbols appear on reels 2 and 5, revealing symbols equal to the collected multiplier. For example, a x4 multiplier opens four identical symbols. Wilds appear on reels 3 and 4, matching the multiplier count.
Launching the torpedo during Wolf Pack Spins boosts winnings significantly. Note that xBomb symbols increase the multiplier for the entire bonus, not just the current spin.
